Placement of your Bonsai Tree

Placement of your Bonsai

Indoors
Keeping your Bonsai tree indoors, your tree should be kept by a window where your Bonsai receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight every day, the more the better.

Outdoors
For best results keep your Bonsai outdoors, depending on species, either in full sun or partial shade, as long as the night temperatures are above 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the night temperatures start to drop below 45 degrees Fahrenheit, move your Bonsai indoors, in a greenhouse or a warm garage, and then move your Bonsai back outdoors once the night temperatures are steady above 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lighting Conditions

Using a plant lamp is the best scenario for someone who wants to have their cake and eat it too. If a sunny window or the outdoors are out of the question, a plant lamp will be your best bet for great results.
